Flame arrester series

Flame arresters are safety equipment used to stop the spread flame of flammable gas or liquid. The earliest industrial flame arresters were Humphrey Davy’s safety lamp in the early 19th century. In 1928, flame arresters are applied in petrochemical industry, then widely used in mine, water transportation, chemical industry and so on.
Properties of the flame arrester
The flame arrester consists of its coat, flame arresting core and its attachments. Using flame quenching, when the flame and hot gas pass through the flame arrester very quickly, they are cool sufficiently. The flame arrester can be applied to combustible gas transportation system, combustible gas and liquid storage tanks and so on. They can be installed in the combustible gas transferring network to stop deflagration.
Working principles of the flame arrester
The flame arresting layers of the corrugated-core flame arrester consist of thin corrugated-core plates made of Al, Cu, stainless steel and Cu-Ni alloy. The structure is as following..

Having been tested by some authorities, the flame arrester meets the requirement of GB13347-92. Advanced technologies from England and Germany have been adopted, combined with advanced equipment and perfect testing devices, the corrugated-core flame arrester is reliable, efficient and easy to clean

1.Coat: carbon steel, Al alloy, stainless steel (SUS304, SUS304K, SUS316, SUS316L).
2.Flame arresting core: stainless steel explosion-proof corrugated flame arresting plates
3.Materials for seal ring: PTFE
4.Temperature: no more than 480℃
5.Explosion proof grade: BS 5501:II C
6.Application:Petrochemical products of which storage ignition point is smaller than 60℃. Matches the breather valve, can be used separately as well.On the snorkels of the inner floating roof oil tank.On the snorkels of the gas station’s underground oil tank.

1. The flame arresters should be checked every 6 months.
2. Blocked flame arresting cores should be cleaned, and broken flame arresting layers should be changed.
3. The joint surface should be rigorous when reinstalling the flame arresting layer cores.
