• Applicable medium: Carbon-chlorine hydrocarbons, like aerial fuels, petro, diesel fuel, kerosene, liquefied petroleum, petroleum coke, naphtha, benzene, toluene, xylene, cumene, polypropylene benzene, cyclohexane, isopropanol, cyclohexanol, cyclohexanone, etc.
 
Applications:
1. Filtration and dehydration of ultimate products
2. Removal of alkali after alkali treatment
3. Filtration and dehydration of medium during catalysis and cracking to avoid catalyst being poisonous
4.Separation of water and amine out of liquefied petroleum
 
Working principle:
There are two kinds of cartridges in liquid-liquid coalescing separator ---- coalescing cartridge and separating cartridge. After flowing through the separator, medium will have been filtered, coalesced, settled and separated, to remove water, alkali and soluble organic acid salts.
First the medium flows through coalescing cartridge, which can filter and coalesce water. The innermost layer of coalescing cartridge is high precision filter, which can intercept particle impurities of the medium, especially material which can stabilize emulsified state like iron oxide and iron sulfide, being beneficial to subsequent breaking and coalescence. Then the medium enters breaking coalescence layer. This layer will break the medium, coalesce tiny free water of the medium and condense the medium into droplets on the face. Large droplets go down to the bottom of collecting tank while smaller ones will flow to separating cartridge with medium. With great hydrophobic properties, separating cartridge will only let the medium flow through it without. Smaller droplets will be intercepted completely. Just like the right picture shows:
 
Structure:
Liquid-liquid coalescence separator is a metal crust with two groups of different cartridges, level meter, pressure difference meter, release valve, sewage valve, online sampling connector. Basic structure of liquid-liquid coalescence separator is shown below.
  
Technical Process:
1. In order to prolong the life of coalescence cartridge and improve dehydration efficiency of it, the installation of a prefilter before the coalescence separator is recommended to filter larger solid particle, iron sulfide and iron oxide.
2. Bypass is designed on every equipment, to guarantee system working normally while cartridge is being replaced.
3. Outfall is at the bottom of every equipment, to discharge the sewage and recycle medium.

|Installation and maintenance

1, the core component of the precision filter is the filter of the filter, the filter is easy to damage the parts, need special protection.
2, the precision filter for a long time to work, will cut a certain amount of impurities, this will work when the rate decreased, so it must be cleaned regularly, but also to clean the filter.
3, in the cleaning process to pay special attention to the cleaning of the filter filter, do not deform or damage, otherwise it will lead to a reduction of filter precision, not to the production requirements.
4, if the filter is found to be deformed or damaged, must be replaced immediately.
5, some precision filter, can not be used repeatedly, such as bag filter, polypropylene filter, etc..
